Student name change on Pomona College information systems
The instructions below will show Pomona College students how to change their display name (Portal, Sakai, Email, etc.). NOTE: For guidelines on Student Legal and Preferred Name change requests, please click here. For faculty and staff name change information, please click here. To start: Log into the Portal (my.pomona.edu). Click on the 'Student' tab. Click on the 'Chosen Name and Pronouns' link. Complete the form and submit. The form is monitored by the Registrar's Office and allows for "preferred/chosen" name. Shortly after it is approved by the Registrar's Office, the preferred/chosen name will be the name used by email, Portal and other information systems. NOTE: Incoming students are granted access to the Portal in early June and can't complete the steps below till then. If you need the name changed before then, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@pomona.edu or 909-621-8134.

Graduating Students and Pomona College Accounts
Information Technology Services want to congratulate you and wish you the best. Congratulations! We are happy to have been of service to you. Please make sure you are aware of the following: Email Accounts Your Pomona email account is yours to keep as an alum. The web interface is: http://mymail.pomona.edu . NOTE: Please log into your account at least once every 180 days to keep your account active. Email Addresses LoginID@mymail.pomona.edu will remain with you as an alum. NOTE: If you have other email aliases, they will be removed on July 1, so always use the LoginID@mymail.pomona.edu format in your correspondences. Alumni Portal Your Pomona login ID and password will give you access to the Alumni Portal at http://my.pomona.edu . The Alumni Portal will allow you to access unofficial transcripts and request Official Transcripts. MyPassword This tool provides self-service access to reset your Pomona email and portal passwords on demand or if you forget your password. MyPassword can be accessed at http://mypassword.pomona.edu . Access will be removed on July 1: Box Account If you have created a Pomona Box account, it will automatically convert itself to a personal Box account and be subject to the terms of service for a personal account. The disk quota will be reduced from unlimited to 5GB, and additional allocation will be available for purchase through Box.com. Slack LinkedIn Learning Zoom Office365/OneDrive Your Microsoft Office365 and OneDrive access will be removed on July 1. Only the web-based version of Microsoft Office365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will be available after July 1. Be sure to copy your data from OneDrive to another file storage option. NOTE: To save/transfer your OneDrive cloud account data, please click here for instructions. DUO As an alternative, please utilize Microsoft Authenticator to secure your account. Accessing Pomona College Transcripts
To download unofficial transcripts as a current student, or if you graduated in 1990 or later, log on to my.pomona.edu, select the 'Student' option at the top right of the landing page, and choose 'My Transcript Requests' from the panel on the left of the screen. If you need official transcripts, if you graduated prior to 1990, or if you need further information, please see the information at the Office of the Registrar.

Trouble accessing the Alcohol Edu site
The instructions below will show you what to do if you encounter trouble access the Alcohol Edu site. To fulfill Pomona's requirement: If you are on campus, do not use the Claremont-Guest wireless network. Use primarily Pomona wifi, or Eduroam wifi as a backup. Then, open a new incognito window (Google Chrome) or new private window (Safari, Firefox or Edge). Visit https://admin.fifoundry.net/pomona_college/sign_in and select the Login option relevant to you. You should then be taken to a Microsoft login page (with Stover Walk in the background). Authenticate there with your username (username@mymail.pomona.edu) and the password. If prompted, click 'Accept' on the Information to be Provided to Service page. This will take you to the EverFi registration page. Your name should already be populated. From there, you should be able to see your pending assignments. Note: If prompted, please enter your 8-digit Student ID to ensure you receive credit for completion. You can find your Student ID at my.pomona.edu; look it up by selecting 'Personal Info' at the top of the page and then selecting the 'Biographical Info' tab on the student portal. To receive proper credit for completion of AlcoholEdu and Haven courses, students must use the Single Sign On (SSO) through the Central Authentication Service (CAS)

Guidelines on Student Legal and Preferred Name Change Requests
Introduction This guideline provides information regarding the creation of new student email aliases in support of legal and preferred name changes; it also provides clarity on the immutability of network usernames. Email Aliases When requested, ITS will create new @mymail.pomona.edu email aliases for students in support of legal name changes, and in support of preferred names that have been recorded with the Registrar's Office. The mail alias will reflect the initials of the preferred name, and contain the same year designator as the original email address. This new email alias will appear as the student's primary email address in Pomona College's Global Address List. The new email alias will have the same duration as the original email address (currently lifetime), and both email addresses (the new alias and the original email account) will route email to the student's original mymail account. The request should come to the ITS service desk from the Registrar's Office. Network Usernames Currently, ITS is not able to support a change to network usernames. The Pomona College usernames issued to students at matriculation are immutable in the current technology landscape. In other words, the username that a student uses to log into Pomona College's applications cannot be changed once created by ITS.
