Password Requirements To protect your account, and for the security of everyone on the network, Pomona passwords must meet the following minimum requirements: it cannot contain your account name. it cannot contain more than two consecutive letters of your full name. it must be at least 12 characters long. it must contain at least three of the following four: uppercase characters (A-Z) lowercase characters (a-z) digits (0-9) non-alphanumeric characters (for example; ! $ # , %) Password Creation Tips How can you come up with secure passwords every three months? Think of a memorable sentence: My very big dog smells like dill pickles! Take the first letter of each word: Mvbdsldp! Then replace a few characters: Mvbd$ldp! Examples: "I am taking an underwater basket weaving class!" = Imt4ubwc!34 "But WHY do we need such strong passwords?" = 12BYdwnssp? "Trust me, it's for your own good." = TM,it's4yog.37

Change your Pomona College account password
Note: To recover your account password, please click here. Change personal (non-Pomona) recovery email address in MyPassword, please click here. Para obtener instrucciones en español, haga clic aquí. The instructions below will show one how to change their existing Pomona College password. The instructions assume you know your current password. If you do not know your current password, click here. Open a new incognito window (Google Chrome) or new private window (Safari, Firefox or Edge). Navigate to http://mypassword.pomona.edu . Enter your Pomona College username and select Next . NOTE: Faculty, Staff, and non-Pomona students should use the format of username@pomona.edu (e.g. cesa2021@pomona.edu) Pomona Students and Alumni should use the format of username@mymail.pomona.edu (e.g. cesa2021@mymail.pomona.edu) Enter your current password. Enter your current password for 'Old password' and a new password for 'Create new password' and 'Confirm new password'. Then, click 'Submit'. NOTE: ITS recommends a completely new password of 12 or more characters with a combination of upper/lower case letters, numbers and commonly used symbols. This will help prevent the password from being compromised. The password change should complete within 30 seconds. NOTE: If you have not done so already, ITS recommends you sent 'Alternate email' and/or 'Alternate phone'. This will come in handy if you forget your password in the future. To do so: Click on 'Edit security info' (see image below). Click on '+ Add method'. Select Alternate phone or email. Complete the on screen instructions.

Cómo reclamar o volver a ingresar a su cuenta de Pomona College (restablecer contraseña)
Nota: Si conoce su contraseña actual y desea cambiarla, siga nuestras instrucciones para cambiar su contraseña de Pomona College. También puede seguir estos pasos para volver a ingresar a su cuenta si olvidó su contraseña o si ITS la cambió por motivos de seguridad. Cuando se le pregunte con qué tipo de cuenta necesita ayuda, seleccione 'Trabajo o escuela'. Ingrese su nombre de usuario de Pomona College, complete el CAPTCHA y seleccione Siguiente. Change personal (non-Pomona) recovery email address in MyPassword

The My Password resources (http://mypassword.pomona.edu) gives one the ability to change or recover their Pomona College account password. However, the process of recovering your Pomona College account password only works if you have a current personal recovery email address (non-Pomona College; Gmail, iCloud, Proton Mail, etc.) indicated on your My Password account profile. The instructions below will show one how to update their recovery email address for My Password. Steps: Open a new incognito window (Google Chrome) or new private window (Safari, Firefox or Edge). Visit http://www.myworkday.com/theclaremontcolleges . At that 'Central Authentication Service' page, switch the institution to Pomona College and then click the ' LOGIN ' button. You should then be taken to a Microsoft login page (with Stover Walk in the background). Authenticate there with your username (username@pomona.edu) and new password. You may be asked to configure your DUO multifactor authentication (MFA) account profile. Please follow the on-screen instructions to do so. You should now be logged into Workday. Click on the 'Menu' in the upper left corner and select 'Personal Information'. Click on the 'Email Addresses' option. On the next page, click on 'Edit'. Change the email address under 'Home Contact Information'. Then, click 'Submit'. Human Resources will approve the change as soon as possible. Shortly after that, the recovery email address will update in the My Password account profile.
