Find someone's username for use in Sakai

The instructions below will show one how to find a person's username in order to add them to a course in Sakai (please click here for details).

Note:
These instructions may only work for Pomona College students, faculty and staff. For other the other Claremont Colleges, you may need to ask the person you are adding for their username.

Steps:

Log into http://mail.pomona.edu .
In the search box at the top of Webmail, type in parts or all of the person's name.
Click on the contact card icon to the right of the person's list in the search results (see image above).
The username will be displayed under the 'Chat' listing.

For Sakai, use username@pom (e.g., ces02028@pom).
