Outlook Opens Hyperlinks in Edge Instead of Default Browser

Issue:

When trying to open hyperlinks in Microsoft Outlook for Windows, the links open in Microsoft Edge even though the default browser on the computer is set to a different web browser, such as Firefox or Chrome.

Solution:

In Microsoft Outlook for Windows...

Click on the File ribbon and choose Options
From the left-hand panel, choose Advanced
Under File and Browser Preferences, change the default handler for hyperlinks from Microsoft Edge to Default Browser

You may need to quit and reopen Outlook after changing this setting.
