Problem

In Jenzabar CX 10, it is possible to exported reports to Microsoft Excel in what is called external text viewer.

However, if an upgrade of Microsoft Office is performed on the host computer, the external text viewer option will no longer work.

Environment

• Jenzabar CX 10  
• Windows computer  
• Microsoft Office    

Solution

In Jenzabar CX:

1. Click on your user name in the upper right corner and select 'Settings'.
   
   
   
   
2. Under 'External Viewer filepath:', click on the square icon with the three vertical dots (see image below).
   
   Find and select the local of the newest version of Excel . Then, click 'Apply' and 'OK'.
   
   

   NOTE: With the latest version of Microsoft Office, the Excel.exe file to use will be found at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\ .

   
      

The external text viewer option should now work.
