Connect to "Public" (Shared) Folders in Outlook for Windows Within Outlook, navigate to the Folders section by clicking the icon of a folder on the far left-hand side:If you do not see the folder icon, click on the icon with the four squares on it and choose Folders from the resulting pop-up: In the center column, where your mail folders are listed, scroll down until you find Public Folders – username. Expand the Public Folders folder If you have already added the folder to Favorites, expand the Favorites folder. Otherwise, navigate through the hierarchy to your public folder. Clicking on your Public Folder will allow you to access the contents. To add this to your public folder favorites, right-click on the folder, then click Add to Favorites… If you would like to add any subfolders to your Favorites, while still in the Add to Favorites box, click Options>>, then check both boxes under Subfolders and make sure Add all subfolders is selected for both. Click the Add button. Now that it has been added to your favorites, you will no longer need to navigate through the tree down to your folder. If you are using an older version of Outlook, please use these instructions: Within Outlook, go to the Folders section by clicking the ellipsis at the bottom of the window and choosing Folders. Expand the Public Folders – username folder in the left hand column, where username is your 8-character Pomona username. If you have already added the folder to Favorites, expand the Favorites folder. Otherwise, navigate through the hierarchy to your public folder.
