Warning: [computer name] not backed up

Problem

You have received a status report email from CrashPlan titled "Warning : <computer-name> not backed up".

NOTE: <computer-name> represents the actually machine name displayed in the email.

Solution

CrashPlan is a data backup service used a Pomona College. The message is a weekly progress report from the service.

If the report indicates any errors, or if you have further questions, please contact the ITS Service Desk at ServiceDesk@pomona.edu or 909-621-8061 as soon as possible.

NOTE:
The report may indicates that there hasn't been any activity, 'Last Backup', for quite some time. This is understandable if your computer has been shut off or disconnected from the internet for that amount of time.
