Student name change on Pomona College information systems
The instructions below will show Pomona College students how to change their display name (Portal, Sakai, Email, etc.).
NOTE:
To start:
- Log into the Portal (my.pomona.edu).
- Click on the 'Student' tab.
- Click on the 'Chosen Name and Pronouns' link.
- Complete the form and submit.
The form is monitored by the Registrar's Office and allows for "preferred/chosen" name. Shortly after it is approved by the Registrar's Office, the preferred/chosen name will be the name used by email, Portal and other information systems.
NOTE:
Incoming students are granted access to the Portal in early June and can't complete the steps below till then. If you need the name changed before then, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@pomona.edu or 909-621-8134.
